Snow College Eccles Performing Arts Center
The George S. & Dolores Doré Eccles Center for the Performing Arts and Horne School of Music includes a 700-seat performance hall, a 500-seat theater, an experimental theater, a choral concert and rehearsal hall, 10 classrooms, individual rehearsal rooms, a scene shop and faculty offices.
The facility features a modern design, with high-end, durable finishes suitable for both daily college classes and evening opera performances. The building’s striking exterior is brick and glass and features aluminum shrouds and concrete benches within masonry walls. The lobby consists of overlapping translucent planes of Imago. When built, it was the largest installation of Imago in the world.
The Center was built under a highly compressed schedule in order for Snow College to maintain its academic calendar. With only 16 months to construct a project originally scheduled for 20 months, our team delivered an award-winning project on time and below budget, ultimately giving money back to the state.
