SALT LAKE CITY (April 29, 2019) – Every April, elected officials and staff from Utah's 248 incorporated municipalities converge in sunny St. George to share best practices, learn new skills, strengthen relationships and connect with vendors at the Utah League of Cities and Towns (ULCT) conference.

Layton has developed a solid, well-earned reputation as “city builders,” having built many city halls and other city buildings across the state. Layton prides itself on being the construction partner of choice for cities, based on its efficiency with taxpayer funds while providing high-quality buildings that will stand the test of time for generations.

Herriman City Manager, Brett Wood, remains proud of their city hall completed by Layton Construction in August 2017. “Layton worked through all issues respectfully and professionally,” said Wood. “More importantly, Herriman City Hall and the J. Lynn Crane Park created a much-needed gathering place to bring our community together. The value of that community vibrancy is priceless.”

In addition to Herriman City Hall, Layton has built municipal buildings throughout the state, including city halls in Sandy, Cottonwood Heights, Taylorsville, West Point, Springville and Vernal. Layton’s expertise in municipal buildings extends well beyond city halls to include recreation centers, libraries, courts/corrections, public works and education facilities.

In Layton’s booth this year, CSG Executive Vice President Bryan Webb and Director of Business Development Jeff Palmer were excited to discuss two new city hall projects – Murray City Hall and Provo City Hall.

Layton has worked with cities from the earliest days of the company. Through the years, Layton has been partners in building the iconic structures that define so many communities. The continued growth of cities is certain – as is Layton’s commitment to be the city builder who brings expertise and predictable outcomes so necessary in the public spotlight.
